Ian Poulter shot a sensational round of sixty at the UBS Hong Kong Open to take the lead at the end of the second round.
While the Englishman had been a little quiet on the opening day he roared into life in the second round to sink ten birdies to move into the lead on 13 under par.
He is now one shot ahead of Anthony Kang and two clear of Simon Dyson and Irishman Rory McIlroy, both on eleven under.
Speaking to Sky Sports Poulter said: "It is one of those courses where if you can get off to a good start you really feel you can shoot a good number.
"I had five birdies from the seventh and as soon as that happened I felt there were plenty of chances coming in.
"I am happy but slightly disappointed."
And McIlroy had the chance to share the lead as he came to the eighteenth hole but a double bogey saw him finish on 11 under par, with a round of sixty six, going into the third day of the tournament.
U.S. Open champion and Ryder Cup hero Graeme McDowell is also in the hunt going into the third round as he is three shots off the lead on ten under with a second successive round of sixty five.
