Luke Donald admits that his confidence is high going into The Open this week after winning The Scottish Open at the weekend.
The world number one is looking to do the historic double and become the first winner of the Scottish Open to go on and win The Open just seven days later.
Despite a weather hit tournament, which saw just three rounds played instead of four because of the rain, Donald hit a 63 for nineteen under on the final day to win a third title of 2011.
The 63 was the lowest round of his European Tour career as he finished four shots ahead of Fredrik Andersson Hed.
Speaking to Sky Sports he said: I see it as all positive. I'll be high on confidence, I'm obviously hitting the ball nicely and to do it on a links course is even better.
"That's why I decided to play in Scotland this year. There's always a little added pressure when you're number one, but hopefully I've proved I can handle that.
"Obviously next week will be different, but this was the best way to prepare.
"It's nice to get another victory - I think I can get used to this!"
But there was bad news for Colin Montgomerie as his score of ten under was not enough to see him qualify for The Open.
It will be the first Open championship that Montgomerie will miss out on for over twenty years.
