Gunners plan Bellerin deal

Arsenal intend to hand Hector Bellerin a new long-term deal amid claims both Barcelona and Manchester City are interested.

Bellerin began his career with Barcelona before joining Arsenal as a youngster in 2011 and has since established himself as one of the Premier League's best full-backs.

Dani Alves' summer exit has increased speculation the Catalan giants could try and tempt him back to Camp Nou, while Manchester City have been heavily linked as they seek a long-term successor to Pablo Zabaleta, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Earlier this week, Wenger confirmed plans are in place to extend Bellerin's contract, as he says the defender's "long-term future" is with Arsenal.

Reports now indicate Arsenal intend to offer Bellerin a deal worth around £96,000-a-week and will open negotiations with the 21-year-old soon in an attempt to tie him down for the foreseeable future, with his current deal set to expire in 2019.
