Chelsea are being linked with a move to sign Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci and could offer Eden Hazard as part of the deal.
Blues boss Antonio Conte has put a new central defender at the top of his wanted list following a disappointing start to the new season and Bonucci is his top target.
Reports in the press have suggested that Juve would be prepared to do a deal but they are asking for a huge transfer fee as well as Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Fabregas has struggled to force his way into Conte's plans this season, but it would appear that the Chelsea boss would like to keep hold and would prefer to offer Hazard instead.
However Juventus believe that Fabregas would be a better fit for the system they play and will not consider a swap deal involving Hazard, reports have claimed.
A straight cash deal for Bonucci is not out of the question, but Chelsea would have to pay a world-record fee for a defender to have any chance of doing a deal.
