Hughes hints at Bojan recall

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has hinted that Bojan Krkic could return to the starting line-up for Sunday's trip to Crystal Palace.

The Spaniard has been in and out of the side so far this season and was a second-half substitute during the Potters' 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham last weekend.

The heavy defeat left Hughes' men propping up the Premier League table, with just one point from their opening four matches, and the Welshman could now recall Bojan for the trip to Selhurst Park.

"He's (Bojan) been training really well and he's very much in my thoughts this weekend," Hughes said.

The 26-year-old, whose only goal of the campaign to date came against Manchester City in August, has spent a lot of the season playing out of position, but Hughes has been pleased with the former Barcelona player’s overall contribution to the side.

He added: “He's done okay, he hasn't had too much of a look in. He did a job against Man City on the right, which isn't his favourite position, then we played at Everton and I felt we needed to have (Mame) Diouf on the right."
