Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus is set to be handed a three-week break before he arrives at Man City in mid-January, sources for SiaS say.
The 19-year-old Palmeiras starlet turned down the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid to sign for the Citizens this summer in a £28m deal.
However, the Rio Olympic Gold medallist was determined to see out the remainder of the season with his boyhood club, which will end in early December.
Palmeiras currently top the Brasileiro Serie A standings and are eyeing a first domestic title since 1994.
City are planning to bring him straight into their squad but boss Pep Guardiola is conscious about the amount of football the teenager has already played in the last 12 months.
It's understood Jesus will be allowed to spend the whole of the Christmas period in his homeland before he embarks on his new adventure in England.
