Bayern Munich defender Joshua Kimmich isn't surprised by the instant impact Pep Guardiola has made at Manchester City this season.
The Germany starlet was unearthed by Guardiola and the pair enjoyed a close bond together at the Allianz Arena.
Kimmich has been impressed by the 100% start City have made to the season under their new manager.
And the 21-year-old is convinced things will only continue to improve at the Etihad Stadium.
Kimmich told ESPN: "I've seen their games against Manchester United and Borussia Monchengladbach, the way they are topping the table is extremely commanding.
"It's fascinating to see the way he's (Guardiola) been able to leave his mark on the team in such a short space of time.
"They play a completely different football than last season. If I'm honest I'm not surprised, however.
"In Germany, some people said he'd failed at Bayern because he didn't win the Champions League. But I think Bayern were rarely as dominant as under him, when they won three championships in a row.
"He's somewhat revolutionised football here. And I believe his influence in England will be devastating, too."
