MotoGP 2010 the final pre season testing in Qatar comes to a close

Ducati rider Casey Stoner pot in the fastest lap time in the final MotoGP pre-season test in Qatar.

Stoner negotiated the curcuit in a time 1, 55.353 seconds to push early leader Valentino Rossiinto second place.

Jorge Lorenzo, Rossi's Yamaha team-mate riding despite not having fully recovered from a hand injury, finished sixth in 1:56.504.

Stoner then took a fall shortly after setting the fastest time of the two floodlit tests but escaped injury.

At the end of the two races, Ducati rider Stoner, 24, topped the times in first place overall.
 
Defending world champion Rossi, 31, was second, five places ahead of his 22-year-old team-mate Lorenzo, who dislocated his thumb and fractured his hand four weeks ago.

Italian Andrea Dovizioso was third overall, with newcomer Ben Spies fourth Stoners Ducati team-mate American Nicky Hayden was fifth.

The tests were the last for the 17 world championship riders ahead of the new MotoGP season, which is due to kick off in Qatar 11th April.
