Stefan Bradl LCR Honda's new rider is reported to be back home in Germany recovering after a successful operation yesterday to remove a plate and six screws from his left foot.
Bradl has said that apart from a short holiday he intends to spend his winter break preparing for the 2012 season
The current Moto2 World Champion underwent successful surgery on his left foot to remove the metal supports from an injury sustained while training in 2010.
The German rider was released from the hospital today and is recovering at home, Bradl was still too sore to walk after yesterday’s procedure, he hopes that after a few days rest he will have improved enough place weight on the foot.
The 21 year old is looking forward to continue training, he expects to have recovered sufficiently enough to resume within two to three weeks.
Bradl has said that apart from a short holiday he intends to spend his winter break preparing for the 2012 season, which will see him embark on his career in MotoGP aboard the LCR Honda.
