Naismith still on Moyes' wishlist

Naismith still on Moyes' wishlist

Sunderland are reportedly set to revive their interest in Norwich forward Steven Naismith in the January transfer window.

Black Cats boss David Moyes knows the Scotland international well from their time together at Everton and attempted to sign him on transfer deadline day, but the deal failed to materialise and Naismith ended up staying at Carrow Road.

The 30-year-old has struggled to fit in at Norwich and was said to be very keen on a move to Sunderland, however the transfer stumbled reportedly because the Black Cats were unable to match his personal terms.

However, Moyes is being tipped to try and land him again in the new year as he continues to look for options to strengthen his squad at the Stadium of Light.

Naismith has not featured in Norwich's last two squads in the Championship and has managed just two goals since joining them in January in a deal believed to be worth £8million - the figure the Canaries would want to recoup when selling him on.
