O'Shea impressed by boss

Sunderland stalwart John O'Shea says the club are not in crisis and claims to have been impressed by manager David Moyes.

The Black Cats have yet to win this season and their point in a late draw with West Brom at the weekend was just their second of the campaign, leaving them at the foot of the table.

O'Shea has seen it all before though and claims they are moving in the right direction, believing the point against the Baggies could turn out to be crucial.

He told the Telegraph: "I'm impressed with what the manager is trying to do, but it does take time.

"You've got to adapt to it, work hard, improve fitness levels and try to implement the manager's ideas better, and also stick together, take responsibility.

"We'd lost our previous three, so this point probably does more to change the mood than it does our league position, without a doubt."
