Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, the Brazilian's agent has confirmed.
Mourinho has been tracking the player since his days with Brazilian side Sao Paulo, and reports in Spain have claimed he tried to sign the player while he was in charge of Real Madrid.
The Portuguese missed out on a deal as Moura headed to PSG, but he has always maintained an interest in the player and looks set to make a renewed bid.
Wagner Ribeiro is the 24-year-old's agent, and claims that Mourinho is keen to finally sign his client and take him to Old Trafford.
“Who called Lucas Moura there, who wanted Lucas Moura wasn’t Florentino [Perez, Madrid’s president]. It was Mourinho,” he told ESPN Brazil.
“Mourinho was and is passionate about Lucas Moura.
So much so that now at Manchester he wants Lucas as well.”
PSG splashed out £38million to sign Moura back in 2012 and United will have to offer significantly more than that if they are to have any chance of doing a deal.
