The Great Britain international has taken over as Warrington captain for the 2008 season.
The 30-year-old replaces Lee Briers, who has decided to step down from the role after five years as skipper.
Morley, who joined the club last season, has won an NRL title at the Sydney Roosters and a Super League crown with Bradford in 2005.
Hooker Jon Clarke, who earned his first GB cap against New Zealand last year, has been appointed vice-captain.
Wolves coach Paul Cullen said the appointment of Morley was an obvious choice.
