Brian Noble is in talks with the club about a new contract.
He left Bradford Bulls to take over as the Wigan Warriors coach in April 2006 but is out of contract at the end of the current season.
Noble succeeded Ian Millward at Wigan and ensured their Super League survival at the end of the 2006 campaign.
The 47-year-old began a process of rebuilding at the Cherry and Whites, taking them to within one game of last season's Grand Final.
