The Huddersfield Giants have strongly denied newspaper reports that coach Sharp has applied for coach role at Dragons.
The Dragons are looking for a replacement for Mick Potter.
Sharp has been in charge at the Galpharm Stadium for four years, after taking over from Tony Smith.
The Giants coach guided the club to the Challenge Cup final in 2006, which they lost to St Helens, and he also took them to their first ever top-six finish and a play-off place last season.
However, pressure has grown on Sharp in recent weeks with the club second-from-bottom of the Super League.
