Wilkinson goes into Saturday's Six Nations match needing one point to become the top scorer in rugby union.
The International Rugby Board has ruled England's Wilkinson is officially tied with Neil Jenkins.
Wilkinson scored 20 points in the British and Irish Lions' match against Argentina in May 2005, which has now been granted Test status by the IRB.
The 28-year-old already has a total of 41 points in this year's Six Nations.
Wilkinson pulled level with Jenkins' record by kicking 14 points in England's 24-13 victory over France in Paris.
