New Zealand continued their dominance of the rugby sevens competition at the Commonwealth Games as they took the gold medal, beating Australia in the final.
New Zealand did open the scoring in the final but the Kiwis found themselves ten points down as Australia were 17-7 up and it looked, for a little while at least, that a possible upset was on the cards.
However the comeback from the All Blacks was impressive in the second ten minute period as substitute Sherwin Stowers added a try that cut Australia's lead to just two points.
There was another try from Kurt Baker which crushed any hope that Australia had of getting one over on their fiercest rivals. When the whistle went at full time New Zealand had a 24-17 win and had once again taken the gold.
Sadly England missed out on a medal as they lost the bronze medal match to South Africa 17-14. England faced a tough semi final against favourites New Zealand, losing 33-12, left them battling for a bronze medal.
It was a closely fought battle with South Africa and it was a late try by Lulabolo Mtembu left England trailing with just a minute on the clock.
Ben Gollings had the best chance of pulling the match back but he failed to find a way through South Africa and fell just short.
Head coach Ben Ryan told Yahoo Sports: "We leave Delhi without anything and we're bitterly disappointed.
"It's very frustrating but I believe in these players and believe we can go on and win a World Series with this side."
