Hull FC coach is looking to bolster up his injury-hit squad with a new forward.
Gareth Carvell and Ewan Dowes are sidelined for the foreseeable future.
The Black & Whites boss is down to his last three props and is hoping to bring in a new man in time for the game at St Helens.
Sharp may have to look at players in National League One to replace Carvell and Dowes.
Meanwhile, centre Kirk Yeaman is expected to play his first game of the season at Knowsley Road after overcoming an elbow injury.
