Leeds Rhinos, Hull FC and Warrington have been given category A Super League licences.

Bradford, St Helens and Wigan have been awarded B grades.

The RFL has given each club extensive feedback on their licence application - and Lewis wants the clubs to take this on board.

added Lewis.

All the clubs will have to reapply for a licence when the initial three-year period ends in 2011.

The eight clubs given C status licences are Catalans Dragons, Castleford Tigers, Celtic Crusaders, Harlequins, Huddersfield Giants, Hull KR, Salford and Wakefield.

The RFL has already confirmed that a team from the National Leagues will be given a licence in 2011 subject to them meeting the required qualifying standards.
