Saracens winger Chris Ashton will face a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel on Tuesday charged with two acts of biting.
It has been alleged that the 29-year-old bit Northampton prop Alex Waller during Saturday's 27-12 Premiership victory.
The offences are said to have been carried out in the 24th and 25th minutes of the Allianz Park encounter.
Replays showed that the Wigan-born flyer's mouth appeared to make contact with Waller's hand while the players were on the floor and he must answer the charges early this week.
The former Northampton winger is no stranger to controversy as he was banned for 10 weeks last season for making contact with the eye area of Ulster back Luke Marshall during a European Champions Cup game.
Capped 39 times by England, Ashton will be in line for another ban should he be found guilty of the offence, which could dent his chances of an England recall.
