Aviva Premiership club Sale have locked down coaches Mike Forshaw and Paul Deacon to new four-year deals.
Deacon is a former Bradford Bulls and Great Britain international scrum-half and he switched codes to join director of rugby Steve Diamond's backroom team in 2015.
Forshaw is a former Super League team-mate of Deacon's at Bradford and he arrived at the AJ Bell Stadium from Irish side Connacht as defence coach but took on extra responsibilities after Bryan Redpath moved to Yorkshire Carnegie.
Sale currently sit fifth in the Premiership table, with 13 points from five games played, and they are ambitious to challenge the big boys.
Diamond feels it was vital to secure the future of his two assistants and believes the Sharks are going places.
"After the recent takeover from Simon Orange and Ged Mason, the most important thing was to secure the current young talent in the squad on three/four-year contacts and to extend the coaching contracts of Paul and Mike," he said.
"Since Mike and Paul have arrived at Sale, they have expanded our game which is often in the top half of the league defensively and offensively. Under the ownership and selective recruitment, the team will go from strength to strength."
