Thiago Silva's agent has indicated the defender would be interested in joining Chelsea if he becomes a free agent this summer.
The Brazil international could fall out of contract come the end of the season if his current club, Paris Saint-Germain, fail to qualify for the Champions League, although that would appear unlikely given they have won Ligue 1 for the last four seasons.
Nevertheless, the 32-year-old is still yet to discuss a new deal with the Parisians and as such is being linked with a move away, with former club AC Milan keen to bring him back to the San Siro.
Silva's agent Paulo Tonietto has now mentioned Chelsea as a possible destination, with the Blues known to be keen on improving their backline.
Tonietto has denied having spoken to the Blues already about a move but believes it could be possible should PSG not get a deal done in the near future.
"Chelsea are a big club. And the English league is the best in the world," Tonietto told Sport Witness.
"We're not negotiating a new contract, let's see what happens before December."
