Silva happy to help

Manchester City midfielder David Silva insists he is happy to pass on advice to the younger members of the squad.

The 30-year-old boasts an impressive CV domestically and on the international stage with Spain and feels he can benefit the youngsters at the Etihad Stadium.

The likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and John Stones have all been regulars under new boss Pep Gardiola this term.

Silva, who has been with the Citizens since 2010, hopes that he can pass on lessons to allow his team mates the chance to continue their development.

“I’m 30 years old now and young players come to me in the same way I went to older players when I was young. I went to talk with the older guys because they can help you with the experience they’ve got,” Silva said.

“So I hope I can help the youngsters. I’ve been here for a while now and I feel like I’ve been here all my life. It’s the team I have played the most seasons with.”
