In the quarter-finals of the 2005 UK Snooker Championship Steve Davis was up against Ken Doherty.
Steve must have thought he had it the bag when he was 6-1 up against Doherty.
But the Irishman faught back winning six of the next eight frames to trail 8-7.
Davis survived the attack, winning in the final frame by doubling the black.
This has set Davis up in a semi-final clash with Stephen Hendry at the UK Championship in York.
The 48 year old took nearly an hour to win the first frame but went on to a 5-0 lead.
Hendry beat Ali Carter 9-7 to become the first man to reach the last four of this year's event.
Carter was heading for a 147, but rattled the mouth of the pocket with the 14th black, ruling himself out for the £26,000 prize fund on offer for a 147.
In the semi finals we have:
Steve Davis v Stephen Hendry
Joe Perry v Ding Junhui
