Gael Monfils continued his march through the field at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington as he saw off Janko Tipsarevic to reach the semi finals.
The Frenchman is the top seed in the U.S. capital this week and he needed just two sets to see off the Serb and reach the semi.
Monfils is looking for his first title win of 2011 and looked in good form as he dropped his serve only once and won 70% of his service points.
In the end it was a straightforward 6-4 6-4 win and he will now face the big serving American John Isner.
Looking ahead to his semi final clash with John Isner the Frenchman said: "I need to focus on my serve, as it will be very important to [hold] it.
I also have to be relaxed as playing against John is tough, because he gets so many free points. quick points. When I get an opportunity [to break], I need to take it."
Isner is the only other seeded player left in the draw as he came through the clash with Viktor Troicki in three sets.
The first set was closest and most exciting of the match as the pair were still locked together at 6-6 and a tie break was required.
The break was another tight affair but Isner edged it 7-5 to take the opening set. Into the second Troicki hit back with a single break of serve which gave him the set 6-3.
But the momentum swung back the way of Isner as he broke Troicki three times in the final set to take it 6-1 and seal a semi final clash with Gael Monfils.
