Kim Clijsters Faces Fitness Battle

Kim Clijsters faces a fitness race if she is to compete at the French Open after picking up an ankle injury.
The current U.S. and Australian Open champion injured her ankle during her cousin's wedding and now needs up to six weeks out.
Her official website, the latest injury was described as "a severe strain of both the medial and lateral ligaments of the right ankle and torn ligaments, a torn capsule of the ankle joint, a hematoma and torn tendon sheath".
A statement on her website went on further to say "Kim has injured her ankle. She won't be able to compete for four to six weeks.
"Her participation in the French Open is no longer certain."
The French Open, the second Grand Slam of the year, gets under 17th May at Roland Garros in Paris where she has twice been a runner up.
Having won the last two Slams the Belgian would have gone into the tournament as one of the favourites to win.
