Novak Djokovic Ends Year With a Win

Novak Djokovic enjoyed a winning end to the 2011 season as he picked up yet another trophy at the World Tennis Championship exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The world number one saw off Spaniard David Ferrer in straight sets 6-2 6-1 to seal yet another successive win.
Djokovic had already seen off Roger Federer comfortably in the semi finals as he looked back to his best after an injury hit end to the season.
Despite a great performance from Ferrer the day before against Rafael Nadal he was no match for the power and pace of the world number one - who dominated on serve and didn’t let Ferrer find any rhythm.
The exhibition tournament marked the start of the Serb’s preparation to defend his Australian Open title later this month.
He won his second Grand Slam title twelve months ago kicking off what has been a glorious season for him - going on to win at Wimbledon and New York.
And while Djokovic may have many points to defend over the coming season he believes that he can enjoy a year of similar success.
Speaking to the BBC he said: "I think, yes. Nothing is impossible, if you believe.
"I think the crucial couple of weeks is now, for me to prepare for Australia. We'll see. It's a long year and a difficult task, but I'm looking forward to it."
The Australian Open begins 16th January.
