Roger Federer Dispatches Tipsarevic

Roger Federer's smooth progress through the rounds of the Swiss Indoors Basel continued as he saw off Janko Tipsarevic in straight sets.
It was an impressive serving display from the top seed as he dropped just seven points in a match that lasted just an hour.
The 2008 champion barely broke a sweat as he broke once in each set to secure a very comfortable 6-3 6-4 win and progress to the next round.
Speaking to the ATP after the match Federer said: "The first set was a really good level. I played a really good return game in the game I broke him, took advantage of some second serves and was aggressive.
"In the second set he never really had any chance on my serve. I just hung in there, gave myself chances and I think he went for a bit too much and just couldn’t do it.
"It was a good match for me and I think I played well on the offensive, hardly made any mistakes, and overall I’m very happy."
He will now face either Radek Stepanek or Santiago Giraldo in the next round. Stepanek came through against Thiemo de Bakker 6-3 7-6 (7-5) while Giraldo dropped just three games in his 6-2 6-1 win over Karol Beck.
And Tomas Berdych's woes continue as he crashed out of the event at the hands of loser Tobias Kamke, picking up just five games in the straight sets loss.
Berdych was in top form over the summer reaching the semi-final of the French Open and the final of Wimbledon, a run which saw him rocket into the top ten.
But since he crashed out of the U.S. Open in the opening round he has struggled to find form and any type of consistency.
While Berdych is currently in the sixth in the race to the ATP World Tour Finals in London Should the likes of David Ferrer and Andy Roddick do well this week he could, much like Fernando Verdasco, find his spot in jeopardy.
Kamke will now face Richard Gasquet, who enjoyed an emphatic 6-3 6-1 win over Yen-Hsun Lu earlier this week.
