Del Potro ready to spring a surprise

Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro is confident that he can pull off a shock win against Andy Murray in the Davis Cup on Friday.

Del Potro will take on the Scot just weeks after Murray beat him in the Olympic Games men's singles final in Rio.

Murray has decided to miss his grandfather's funeral for the match as he tries to help Great Britain reach the final of the Davis Cup again.

The world number two is expected to play on all three days despite suffering from fatigue in the last few weeks, and del Potro is determined to take advantage this weekend.

"I will try to play a different match from Rio," said del Potro ahead of the Glasgow showdown. "It's going to be really tough but I'm looking forward to (producing) the surprise."
