Watford confirm striker problem

Watford have confirmed that Isaac Success has been withdrawn from Nigeria's squad for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The Hornets striker, who scored his first goal for the club to claim a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Saturday, picked up a knock during the match.

The 20-year-old was hoping to earn his first senior cap after earning his first Super Eagles call-up but Watford said he had been withdrawn "as a precaution due to a knock".

Chelsea's Victor Moses was also pulled out after the forward, playing a new role as a wing-back in his club's 2-0 win at Hull City on Saturday, felt a hamstring strain and he will have to be assessed.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has replaced the players with two strikers from the domestic league – Godwin Obaje of Wikki Tourists and Chisom Egbuchulam from newly-crowned champions Enugu Rangers, the Nigeria Football Federation announced on Monday.
