World Cup Diary 7. Smiles.

Smiles were a mile wide as the young English football star Wayne Rooney rejoined the team in Germany.

Flags are flying across London and England and football lovers are smiling as the greatest football tournament in the world gets under way.

Qualifying from South America proves you are no mugs and Paraguay wll bring experience and know how to their game against England. England will bring passion and hope and expectation and the strengths of the game as we play it here. The country will lock down at 2pm Saturday and will all be supporting the young men in Germany.
