England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has announced he expects Gary Neville to be fit to play against Portugal in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday.
Neville, 31, has missed England's past three games with a calf strain, but took part in training on Wednesday.
Eriksson said at the press conference "He seems to be very good, he did everything and did not feel anything after the training, so I think he will be OK for Saturday," adding.
"His experience might be very important to us in a game like this." continuing "If we think it's a risk he won't play but as things stand it is not a risk."
The Manchester United right-back trained in Baden-Baden and was seen running and kicking a ball with the rest of the team, and continued with a bout of solo training with England physio Gary Lewin.
Neville pulled his calf in training on the eve of the match against Trinidad and Tobago.
He returned to light training last week but suffered a reaction to the injury and rested it again over the weekend.
