Melissa asks :

What type of bag should I invest in? I want to spend about £200-£600 on a handbag that I can use all year round and will last forever. Help?!

Investing in a designer handbag is an exciting and thrilling time, you'll be spending a lot of money but you won't feel buyer's guilt because you know it's something you'll use forever and treasure too.

If you want something to use all-year round and wear on many occasions you're best sticking with the neutral colour palette and invest in a colour like tan, black, grey or navy. Personally we think tan or grey are your best option as you'll find that you can wear these throughout the year in summer and winter.

Of course you need something big enough to carry around all of your essentials, but don't want something that's unnecessarily huge either otherwise you'll find yourself trying to fill it with things that you don't need which just results in a sore back and shoulders.

With your budget we have every expectation that you'll find a good designer handbag that will meet your every need. And we suggest looking to designer brand's sister lines which offer the same good-quality products at a much more affordable price. Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags retail at a considerably lower price to the standard Marc Jacobs line, the same goes for Michael Michael Kors were you can find handbags around the £300 mark, whereas Michael Kors totes are priced around £900.

We've picked out a selection that you can browse now and get a feel for the sort of designer handbags that you have on offer to yourself with your budget.
