What is it with Scottish bands at the moment? One minute it was all about the US boy bands, and now it looks as though we can't get enough of the rock and roll stars from the highlands.

Okay, so Glasgow might not exactly be all about the kilts, haggis and whisky (probably quite a lot of whisky actually), but one thing's four sure, as Glasgow is responsible for producing the likes of Biffy Clyro, Franz Ferdinand, The Fratellis, Travis and now, The Cinematics, it doesn't half know how to brandish some jaw-dropping bands.

Captivating the incredible talent of Scott Rinning, Larry Reid, Ross Bonney and Adam Goemans, The Cinematics are one you should really be keeping your eye on over the next few months, and if you don't already have it, their new album, Love And Terror is a must-have for your Christmas list.
