Travellers warned to stay away from Egypt

Austrailiand planning travel to Egypt have been warned of Imminent terrorist attacks at one of the country's top tourist resorts.

The warning was issues last night, by the Austrailian Department of Foreign Affair and Trade, who said they had recieved crediblie information that attacs were planned in Sharm-el-Sheikh, today.

"We continue to receive reports that terrorists are planning attacks against a range of targets,including places frequented by foreigners such as resorts and hotels and symbols of the Egyptian Government. Attacks could occur at any time, anywhere in Egypt." the Foreign Affairs Department said in a statement

DFAT also said that recent attack in Egypt have taken place on local , public holidays, and although security in the reigion remains on high alert, it advises thet travellers to any part of egypt should remain vigilant.

The Isreilli government issued the same warning on Tuesday, causing hundreds of isreillis to leave the are immediately.

US privete sector intelligence group Stratfor said that the Isreilli warnings were generally accurate, and that considering the Austrailian following of the warning, the threat should be taken seriously.
