Airline passengers are experiencing long delays, in the aftermath of the terror attempt that was foiled, this morning on a Passenger fight from the US to Heathrow.

Heathrow airport announced, this morning, that it would be closed to incoming flights until further notice, and passengers who are due to trave today are being advised to stay at home.
Trafic has been partially resumed, but passengers are still experiencing delays.

Hand luggage has been restricted, to a single, clear plastic carrier bag, and electrical devices, such as car alarm fobs, and electronic games must be stowed in the hold, along with any liquids, such as contact lens fluid, and even medicines in liquid from must be verified as authentic.

All passengers bound for the USA are hand searched, twice, and nothing may be carried in pockets, or cases, such as spectacle cases. Everything the passenger is carrying must go through the x-ray machine, including shoes, pushchairs and walking aids. Only Airport provided wheelchairs may go through the gates.

It's thought that the measures will be in place at least over the weekend.

Passengers who miss their flights, or find themselves stranded will be given the option of a refund, or a place on another flight, when one becomes available, but it;s unlikely and compensation will be awarded.

Passengers were advised to turn up as planned for their holiday, as no-shows will be treated as cancellations, and will not be awarded any refund.
