As Brits become more and more holiday hungry, the Post office offers insurance advice for those flying away more than once in a year.
Reaserch from the Post office shows that more and more people are chooisng cheaper holidays, in order to go away more often, as the average spend on a week abroad has dropped fron £308, in 2003, £288 in 2006.
It's suggested that annual travel insurance could be cheaper than buying insurance for 3-4 individual trips, along with buying pre-paid travel cards, to help you keep within your budget as those balmy nights start to get to your wallet.
Interestingly, the Post Office(R) research also found that ten per cent of the 28 million holidaymakers that set themselves a holiday spending budget will not stick to it. Women are more disciplined than men with 69 per cent sticking to their budget compared to 59 per cent of men.
Kevin McAdam added: "UK travellers can plan their holiday spending more effectively in a number of ways. For anyone travelling more than once per year, we recommend taking out an annual travel insurance policy, which can offer significant savings when compared to single trip policies."
