Essex based travel firm Travel World International became the second tour operator to cease trading, in under a week on Tuesday (16).
The company left 500 holidaymakers abroad, who are now to be flown home by the Civil Aviation Authority. But Passengers who have not yet left the UK will be missing their holiday.
TWI, who also traded under the names 'Jewels of the World' and 'Flightcabin' were a specialist in Cyprus holidays and fights, and were covered under the Air Travel Organiser's Licensing (ATOL) scheme, for such eventualities.
The company had put a bond of £934'000, which will now be used to fly stranded customers home, and to reimburse those whose holidays have been cancelled.
Customers who believe they are entitled to a refund should download a form from www.atol.org.uk
