The Marriott hotel chain are offering couples, who book their wedding at one of their UK hotels by 31st December 2012, a free nights stay at any Marriott hotel worldwide for every £1000 spent on their big day.

This could give honeymooners the chance of spending up to 7 luxurious nights in a Marriott hotel, as long as their wedding is booked on a Friday or Sunday.

This might be a worthwhile opportunity for couples who are looking to wed in 2012 and honeymoon on a budget.

This will most probably not be the only wedding offer we see this year given with the current state of economy, where couples are looking to make the most of their cash. 

More and more couples are shunning wedding on a weekday and choosing to hold their ceremony on a weekend.

The offer is in conjunction with the launch of Marriott's annual Wedding Open Days, where couples planning their nuptials can receive a one on one consultation with a Marriott wedding planner.
