With the seventh and final season of True Blood starting tonight in the UK on FOX, we've decided to take a look at Ryan Kwanten's character Jason Stackhouse, and some of his best quotes to come from the series.

1) In episode two of season three, Jason discovered that there were more supernatural beings in the world than he'd first thought, and his reaction to Sookie's admission that werewolves were alive made for some hilarious viewing:

Jason: "There's werewolves?"
Sookie: "Yes."
Jason: "What about Bigfoot? Do you think he's real?"
Sookie: "I suppose it's possible."
Jason: "...Santa?"
Sookie: "Jason, focus!"

2) Season four opened with an episode where Sookie decided to let her brother in on the journey she made into the fairy realm she had visited, but he didn't want his sister to look crazy in the eyes of others.

Jason: "Sook, if you start telling people that you time traveled to a place full of fairies, they're going to put you away."

3) He was just being Jason in episode 12 of season five.

Jason: "That train has already sailed!"

4) When he tried to explain to his sister what love felt like, because he didn't want her spending her life with the wrong people. Little too late for that now, Jason, but he had the right frame of mind in the season two premiere.

Jason: "When you love someone, you gotta love it all. Otherwise it ain't love."

5) In the first season Jason was about as sex-crazed as ever, and when he was with Amy he got all kinds of freaky.

Jason: "Jesus Christ! I want to lick your mind."

6) When he tried to explain to Sookie at the end of the first season about how he was a changed person following his time in prison, but she burned him like never before.

Jason: "You know, I was sitting in that jail, I just kept thinking about all the stupid stuff I've done."
Sookie: "That must have kept you busy."

7) When he realised in the first season that being a pretty boy may attract attention from the wrong people, in a conversation with gay vampire Eddie.

Jason: "Most of the gays I come across, they look like..."
Eddie: "You. You're what we're supposed to look like."

8) He hit rock bottom during season three, but it did lead to a hilarious one-liner.

Jason: "Never really thought I was smart enough to get depressed."

9) During the first episode of the series he decided to take to his magazine collection to figure out whether having sex with vampires was a good thing to do.

Jason: "You know, I read in Hustler everybody should have sex with a vampire at least once before they die."

10) He may have grown a little smarter by the time season five got underway, but his ability to detect sarcasm and rhetorical questions still remains below average.

Andy: "Jesus, Stackhouse. Have you slept with every woman in this town?"
Jason: "I don't know, close, I guess."

With a final season kicking off tonight on FOX, we're sure they'll be more brilliant lines to come from Jason.
