The outspoken TV presenter is furious over the corporation's suggestion to replace him with Chris Evans on a one-hour Friday edition of the programme and hit back at their claims Adrian would be too busy to fill the slot himself.
He said: "The show won't even air this year. And it's not going to be on a Friday. It's more likely to be recorded on a Wednesday and aired on Thursday. Plus there are only going to be six shows initially so it'll hardly take up all my time. It's a strange situation."
Adrian is so incensed by the plans he is seriously considering his future at the BBC when his £1 million contract ends.
The show is going really well and I've helped it get some great ratings. I don't see why they need to change things. I haven't made up my mind yet, it's all still up in the air.
The 42-year-old star - who co-presents 'The One Show' with Christine Bleakley - told The Sun newspaper: "I'm half Balkan, and the Balkan in me just wants to walk away. But then there's a more rational side of me that thinks I should be more cautious.

If Adrian does decide to quit, ITV are said to be keen to sign him up.
