Alan Carr says 'The Apprentice' judge Sir Alan Sugar is "vile".

The comedian - who was fired from charity reality show 'Comic Relief Does the Apprentice' earlier this year -was terrified of the businessman who he claims reduced him to tears.

He said: "Just how scary is he? He's horrible. I thought because we were celebrities he'd tone it down, but he was vile and laid into me.

I thought Margaret might support me. I though, 'She's a woman, she's a bit of a fag hag - she'll help me.' But she just rolled her eyes.

"I used to take the mickey out of the contestants when they cried on 'The Apprentice', but he had me in tears. I was gulping and had a lump in my throat!"

The 33-year-old openly gay funnyman thought he might have been defended by Alan's assistant, Margaret Mountford, when the business-mogul got tough on him.

He explained to Britain's New magazine: "I thought Margaret might support me. I though, 'She's a woman, she's a bit of a fag hag - she'll help me.' But she just rolled her eyes."
