Ali Bastian To Miss 'Strictly'?

Ali Bastian could miss this week's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

'The Bill' actress has come down with a mystery illness, initially suspected to be swine flu, which she caught from Brian Fortuna, her dance partner on the reality show.

BBC executives are said to be worried she will be too ill to perform and will miss the show on Saturday (24.10.09), but Ali has vowed to continue, and has still been turning up to rehearsals with Brian, 27, even though they are both ill.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "We were petrified Ali had caught swine flu, but she has been downplaying it.

"She made it to her rehearsal but she fears it getting worse. She is due to perform the American Smooth routine with her very own smooth American, Brian, and she really wants to put in a good show."

Ali, 26, is keen to improve on her marks from last week's programme, in which she scored her worst ever score in the series for her rendition of The Jive.

Ali and Brian are rumoured to have become a couple since partnering on the show, and have been pictured kissing and holding hands.

Ali is also currently second favourite to win the show.
