Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber will make 'The Wizard of Oz' reality TV show.
The composer had threatened to pull out of the programme, or move from BBC to ITV, if making it meant he wouldn't be allowed to promote his new stage show 'Love Never Dies'.
He has now confirmed he will be looking for a new singer to star as lead Dorothy in the musical.
BBC rules stated he wouldn't be able to complete publicity for 'Love Never Dies' - a sequel to 'The Phantom Of The Opera' - while appearing on the talent show.
Andrew would be accused of doing the BBC show just to get publicity for 'Love Never Dies'. The BBC would then be made to look like it was giving him undue prominence.
The problem has now been averted as they won't be launching at the same time.
In July, it was claimed Andrew was committed to turning 'The Wizard Of Oz' into a production, but was going to hold a regular audition for it.
Andrew's business partner Andre Ptaszynski said at the time: "It's just too risky. It's only been in the last two or three weeks that we've realised how much of a field day people would have with it.

Andrew has previously worked with the BBC on three shows to find a new West End star - 'How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?', 'Any Dream Will Do' and 'I'd Do Anything'.
