Carol Vorderman was left in tears when she filmed her last episode of 'Countdown'.
The star - who has lent her maths expertise to 4,750 episodes of the hit Channel 4 show - broke down yesterday (13.11.08) as she said farewell to viewers while clips of past programmes were shown.
She said: "I know that not having 'Countdown' will leave a massive hole in my life and that is so sad."

She said: "It was a very special send-off, especially when I saw Richard's face on screen.
"They showed all our mistakes and the tears flowed. But I can't believe it has come to an end - or how kind everyone has been."
She added: "I'm a lucky old bird to be adding up for 26 years."
Carol quit the show after being asked to take a 90 per cent pay cut from her reported £1.2million contract.Sports presenter Jeff Stelling is thought to be replacing current host Des O'Connor.
