Hopefuls for this year's 'X Factor' will be made to audition again.

The wannabe pop stars had already performed for the judges - Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole - two weeks ago in Scotland but it has since been decided auditions will take place in front of a live audience for the latest series of the reality show.

In order for the Glasgow auditions to be the same as the rest of the UK, the show will now return to Scotland and re-shoot scenes.

We are working out how we are going to do it, but it does look like everyone who auditioned will come and audition again

A source said: "We are still fine-tuning our plans, but we aim to be back up in Scotland at the end of next month.

"We are working out how we are going to do it, but it does look like everyone who auditioned will come and audition again. It's all part of our bid to make 'The X Factor' bigger and better than ever."

Last week, it was revealed the show's creator Simon had decided to introduce an audience to make sure potential contestants can handle the pressure of performing to a large crowd after it proved so successful on similar televised talent search 'Britain's Got Talent'.

Meanwhile, the younger brother of last year's winner, Alexandra Burke, has made it through the judges' stages of the talent show after wowing producers with his rendition of Will Young hit 'Evergreen'.

He will now sing in front of the show's judges Simon, Louis, Danni and Cheryl at the London auditions, which begin today (22.06.09).
