Cheryl Cole Bans Family From 'X Factor'

Cheryl Cole has banned her friends and family from watching her sing on 'The X Factor'.

The Girls Aloud singer - who is also a judge on the talent show - is performing her debut solo track 'Fight For This Love' on Sunday's (18.10.09) results show but thinks having her loved ones, including her bandmates and husband Ashley Cole, will make her nerves worse.

She said: "The girls are itching to come down to support me when I perform but I kind of don't want them to - because it is more scary.

"If my family are sat in the crowd... it depends which members of my family are in the crowd - some of them make me feel like 'Yeah I'm ready', and some make me feel 'Oh god no - Dad's in the crowd' so no, no family or friends."

Cheryl - who performed 'The Promise' with her bandmates on the show last year - admitted everyone connected with the programme is feeling particularly nervous this week.

She told TV show 'GMTV': "'There are just nerves in the building - the contestants are giving off nervous energy, their family and friends are giving off nervous energy, and on top of that I'm going to go out and sing, and on top of that Whitney Houston is going to also sing too!"

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Boyband Westlife and singer Michael Buble, will both perform on the next week's show, on October 25.

Westlife will perform their latest single, 'What About Now'.
