Claire Richards and Joe Washbourn are concerned their song choice for the semi-final duet on 'Popstar to Operastar' on Sunday (03.07.11) will lead to them leaving.

Claire Richards and Joe Washbourn believe they will leave 'Popstar to Operastar' this week.

It means time to say goodbye in Italian. So it sounds like we are going

The ex-Steps star and Toploader singer have been paired together for the semi-final duet on Sunday (03.07.11) and Joe admits the choice of song - 'Con Te Partiro', Italian for "time to say goodbye" - indicates their time may be up.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: "It means "time to say goodbye" in Italian. So it sounds like we are going".

Former 'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry - who is firm favourite to win the show - will duet with Bucks Fizz star Cheryl Baker, and has claimed he is likely to win on the "popular vote".

Classical music singer Katherine Jenkins has previously suggested the 20-year-old singer could have a great opera career in front of him if he was prepared to put in the tough training.

She said: "To sing classical music is difficult. I think Joe could be an opera singer if he wanted to be - with training. I think Joe's got a very good chance. He's young, he's really working hard."
