Helen Flanagan will enjoy the "freedom" she will get once she leaves 'Coronation Street'.
The 21-year-old actress - who has played Rosie Webster in the ITV1 soap for the past 12 years - says she will be sad to say goodbye to the show but is looking forward to having less restrictions in her life.
I want to have the freedom to do things I've never done before - and lots of time to spend with my family, boyfriend and friends.
Helen - who will be seen on TV screens until early next year - told Reveal magazine: "I can't remember not being in the show, I really can't. It has literally been my whole life, all through going to school, my teen years - right up until now.
"I've grown up in the soap, but now it will be nice to have the freedom to grow myself. I'm grateful for everything 'Coronation Street' has done for me, but I've worked continuously since I was nine and I want time for myself - to be me, not Rosie.
"I want to have the freedom to do things I've never done before - and lots of time to spend with my family, boyfriend and Friends."
Helen says she decided to quit 'Coronation Street' after taking a three-month sabbatical earlier this year.
She said: "When I went back to 'Corrie', it just didn't feel right. During my time off, I'd found out what it was like just being able to be myself and when I went back in, I knew it was my time to go."
