Dannii Minogue is set to be fired from 'The X Factor'.

The star - who has been a judge on the UK TV talent show for the past two series - will apparently get axed from the programme if boss Simon Cowell can find a replacement in time for the next run of auditions.

A source said: "It's no secret they like to revamp the show every year. The chatter about Dannii going is deafening. But it has to be the right person, otherwise there is no point in replacing her.

"They want someone as good as Cheryl Cole, who has been sensational."

Stars rumoured to be taking 37-year-old Dannii's seat on the panel include 'The Fear' singer Lily Allen and songstress turned TV presenter Charlotte Church.

Simon has previously hinted Dannii would be dropped from the show.

When Dannii was asked at a press conference last year if she would be returning, she looked at Simon who laughed: "It's a nice ceiling, isn't it?"

He added: "If you had asked me the same thing last year about Sharon Osbourne I would have said I am assuming it's going to be the same panel."But then you sit down with lawyers and the agents and the managers get involved, blah blah blah, so you have got to keep an open mind."
